My aim is to help adults feel confident and empowered in the choices they make around children’s uses of technology. This week I get to do that on a big scale with the presentation of 7 seminars around Australia. The fact that they’re all this week is a happy coincidence.
Last night it was to parents talking about how to find balance in the ways children use technology in the home.
Today and through to the end of the week my presentations are to executives with the Catholic Education office; executives with the Department of Education, and executives with the Independent Teachers Union. In these presentations I’ll discussing young children as users of technology and what this means for the ways our education system integrates technology in the first years of schools.
I’ll also be presenting to Apple Distinguished Educators, and also with Early Childhood teachers working with STEM learning. Here I’ll be talking about my latest research with young children and how their technology expertise can be built on when they are at school. Creative and engaging learning with technology is my focus!
I’m very happy to be collaborating with Apple for many of these presentations. A great week ahead!
